ITCHING

In general, itching is caused, when there is an increases in the blood supply to the skin. It includes alcohols and heat. If itching continues for more than few days, consult a physician.

The common causes are allergens such as food, drugs, deficiency of irons and endocrine disorders.

The rare causes are pyschological factors, diseases of lymphocytes.

Itching and inflamation occurs on skin in one area where contact with allergen has


made.

It causes itchy rash, which often occurs on hands.

 

»Antiscabies drugs might help. Itching may last for more than 10 days, post

 

treatment.

 

 

ATOPIC ECZEMA

 

Itchy, inflamed and weeping skin. Occurs often in the bends of arms and legs.

 

 

»Hydrocoristone cream might help. Visit physician if not cured within 8 days.

 

 

 

SKIN RASH(PITYRIASIS ROSACEA)

 

Raised, reddened spots. Often starts with large patch. Takes long time to develop.

 

»OTC treatments might help. There is no exact cure.

 

 

PSORIASIS

 

This is similar to skin rash. Silver scaling may be seen when scratched.
