HAIR LOSS(Alopecia areata)

Hair loss may affect a part of the scalp, appear in patches or occur in a uniform pattern. It is normally painless, unless inflammation occurs.

The common causes are bacterail folliculitis, endocrine disorerders like myoxedema, hypoparathyroidism and side effects of chemotherapy

The rare causes are secondary syphilis, rubbing-habit and alopecia totalis.

Alopecia areata is the medical term for hair loss. This occurs at any age. This normally

causes small, round patches(loss of hair) on the scalp. Rarely it can effect the entire

scalp. This may also spread to the eye-brows, beard.  Re growth of hair in the effected

spots takes very long time and cannot be guaranteed as well.

Causes

and is expelled out. The person  suffering from this kind of infection may likely develop

thyroid disease, diabetes and other skin diseases. These diseases  develop rarely.

This is not a malnutrition disease. This is caused due to stress and accidents.

There are also chances of genetic causes.
